A Sense of Place
This project was in response to a challenge from a good friend. Although the initial idea was to evoke a sense of place for someone who has never been there using whatever means available (photos, audio, text), the thought of painting a picture of my immediate surroundings didn’t seem too exciting. I decided instead to reframe the challenge, unpacking the very idea of place and how we experience it. In just two weeks, I had researched and assembled a visual essay touching on every dimension of place I could think of. It’s a work in progress which I someday hope to revisit.
